The Indian Wood Sculpture

Carefully carved by hand in one of the hardest woods to carve The Indian is a true masterpiece. In each small detail one can feel the intimacy of the artist with the wood and the subject matter. The serenity of the Indian in reflected in his face, almost as if it is captured within the wood. Each feather and strand of hair is expertly carved to bring the Indian sculpture to life. 

The grains of the olive wood create a depth to the Indian sculpture, they serve as character lines, helping to tell the story of his life.
