The Sella Curulis Marble bench derives its name from the splendidly decorated folding chair with neither armrests nor back. It is a symbol of power, used by the Etruscan monarchy.
Among the Romans the stool was used initially by kings and later by higher magistrates with jurisdiction. Later it was used by nobles or prominent elements of the clergy.
It has a curved base made of absolute white marble that rests on feet made of green Alpi marble with bronze trim. The seat is made of a thick block of lilac-white marble characterized by intense veining ranging from black to purple, creating a particularly sophisticated and elegant combination.
The bench has multiple uses as a seat, on a countertop, or as a nightstand for an important bedroom.
