An exceptional pair of Antique Bronze Angels dated to the 18th century. They are from a private chapel in Tuscany Italy. One bronze angel is holding grapes and the other is holding shafts of wheat. It is believed they were created to resemble the varioius seasons of the harvest.
The bronze angels have been meticulously restored by hand highlighting and retaining their original patina. There is no evidence of repair or loss of any type. Originally the angels hung by wire as part of a private chapel in Tuscany. The original tiny mounting screws have been left in place as they were found.
After consultation with restoration, antique and bronze specialists it was decided to use a custom museum type display stand for each angel. The design of the stand leaves each angel completely intact, and without any change to their structure or appearance. At any time should they be removed carefully from their stands they would be completely as they were originally, no drill holes, welding marks etc.
The stainless steel bases were designed to give a remarkable sense of the bronze angels floating. The stainless steel was polished, buffed and grinded to give the effect of moving sky. Thoughtfully designed and created by Impressive in Lucca Italy.
They are a truly incredible example of Italin art. They are sold as a pair.
They will be shipped in handmade crates and insured.
